Jonah Takes On The Grand 3000 (G3K) November 22 2014, 0 Comments
The G3K proudly welcomes Jonah Lomu as partner, participant and brand ambassador on the G3K. Jonah was the first true global superstar of rugby union and with his love of cars, he is a perfect addition to the G3K team.
The G3K is the brain child of event director, Patrick Crowley, whose love for fast cars, road touring and adventure led him to develop the concept that is `The Grand 3000` In addition to rugby and music, cars, especially fast cars, having always been a passion of Jonah’s...he's owned almost every dream car ever built! “… Put me together with cars and music, and you have the perfect mix”, mentions Jonah.
The event has been developed with the movie Casablanca as its back drop, and it is hoped that the G3K can infuse the style, sophistication and romance that Bogart and Bergman brought to our screens in the 1940’s, and the power and roar of the modern day super car. The final gala night is planned for Casablanca, the scene where the famous Casablanca story unfolded.
The G3K will roll out of Kinsale with travel to London, Paris, Grenoble, Antibes, Genoa, Barcelona, Madrid, Marbella and finally landing in Casablanca in Morocco. The ethos underpinning the G3K is one of style and elegance. The G3K 100 will be treated to the best hotels that each of our stopovers has to offer, top class service and some experiences en-route that will be hard to forget. It will truly be the trip of a lifetime. The 100 will be immersed in to a different experience at each of the stopovers that will excite their senses and will combine to create an unforgettable trip.

Tribute to my great friend Robin Williams August 12 2014, 0 Comments
My friend, it's sad to hear of your passing, it was an honour and privilege to have known you and we sure had a lot of laughs together.
I still remember the first time we met, it feels like yesterday but we have both grown up a little more since then, our times together were always full of laughs, you were a great person.
Our first time in becoming great friends was when you had just finished filming Jumangi, I thought you had signed me a copy of the book Jumangi but when I opened it up it was the script of your entire movie, I will always treasure that my friend and will show it to my boys too.
Another great memory for me was when we met in San Francisco, a catch up that was meant to be 30 minutes but we ended up laughing and talking for over 2 hours.
You then surprised me in London when you were part of my tv show "This is your life" both in the UK and in New Zealand with another great friend of mine, Sir Paul Holmes, we had a lot of great times together so I thank you for each of them, thanks for all the great memories my friend.
I liked the "what you see is what you get" about you, you made me laugh even when you weren't even trying too, you were a warm, caring man and funny as hell!
Our thoughts are with your family and friends at this sad time and there is a world of us that will miss you my friend, you have left a presence of laughter and happiness upon the lives of many. Till we meet again for more laughs, your friends Jonah and Nadene Lomu.
BLACK JERSEY'S with forged autograph June 06 2014, 0 Comments
If you have just finished searching the net for a personally signed item by Jonah Lomu himself, think twice before buying an online fake!
To no surprise, there are a variety of items including a black jersey that is said to have been personally signed by the global superstar Jonah Lomu himself, we must advise that these items are not genuine items.
Roughly speaking, over the last twelve months there have been a number of black jerseys with a plump fern on the left chest area on the market, these jerseys have not been personally signed by Jonah Lomu as being claimed and it's only fair to let Jonah's fan family know that there are sellers out there falsely claiming they have a genuine autograph by the legend himself. This is no way is a genuine autograph, it's been forged so don't waste your money!
"I was first shown one of these fakes when my wife and I were at an event in Dubai, it wasn't my autograph, nor had I put it on the top which meant there was only one other explination, it had been forged". The pen marking appeared very light which meant obviously a genuine signature could not be heavily inked on but to mis lead as best as possible was their objective.
I've had more photos sent in since too, the jersey had a label on it that I had never seen or heard of before aswell and more people have sent mail in through my official website questioning authenticity, so when we have been asked we have told them that they have be sold a FAKE.
All I can say is that this is nothing new to me but I wanted to raise the awareness to people so more don't buy a fake or get ripped off really. My website is there for my fan family all over the world and if anyone ever wanted to question the authenticity of an autograph on any item we have a team of staff who woud be able to help with that said Jonah. - Liz Croft
The Great Jonah Lomu as the IRB Ambasador April 30 2014, 0 Comments
The great All Black legend Jonah Lomu will be the IRB Junior World Championship 2014 Ambassador.
A legend of the game since he burst onto the international scene at Rugby World Cup 1995, Lomu went on to play 63 times for the All Blacks between 1994 and 2002, scoring 37 tries.
The annual Under 20 tournament takes place in Auckland, New Zealand from June 2-20.
Lomu, who has become a role model for so many current stars, puts special merit on the key role that age grade Rugby plays in the development of the future stars of world Rugby.
“It’s exciting and a great privilege to be an Ambassador for the IRB Junior World Championship. I’m really looking forward to watching some great Rugby and welcoming the stars of the future to New Zealand in June."
“Playing under-age rugby helped me showcase my skills and god given talents. The game has, of course, changed since then, but the pathway that an Under 20 tournament like the JWC can give to young players is crucial.”
JONAH walks Ireland November 23 2013, 0 Comments
Almost 10 days on tour throughout the United Kingdom, Jonah Lomu and the fantastic crew have now landed in Ireland.
Lomu is currently gearing up to head to the game in Dublin for the All Blacks Vs Ireland match, but not to the pitch of the Aviva Statium for him this time, it's straight to the corporate boxes where the lengend Jonah Lomu will mix and mingle with corporates of a great nation. Shaking the hands of his many fans along the way and sharing the love he has always had for the game of rugby.
When asking Jonah's opinion of the game just hours before he heads to the stadium, Jonah said "the Irish are a team not to under estimate, when playing at home they always seem to get themselves up against the mightly All Blacks so if they start well it's going to be a long day at the office for the men in black".
This evening there is an exclusive show called 'An Audience with Jonah Lomu', there's a great night ahead. A fantastic event to close a day in Dublin for the many thousands of Jonah fans in Dublin.

Fight for Life Ambassador 2011 November 11 2011, 1 Comment
All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu has today officially withdrawn from the Fight for Life but will star as the ambassador for the charity boxing event.
The announcement came as organisers revealed the much-anticipated match-ups for the 2011 Fight for Life. The Fight for Life In Association will be a battle of the codes.
But given Lomu's health battles after his transplanted kidney failed, wife and manager, Nadene decided to withdraw him from the ring and instead promote the event as the official Fight for Life Ambassador.
Lonergan said: "Jonah will have an active role in helping to drive the event over the next few weeks as well on the night at the venue.
"Jonah and his manager, Nadene have been excellent to work with. It would have been great if he was a part of the action on December 3 but clearly his health must come first.
"The big guy knows that there will always been a place for him in Fight for Life events in the future so we're delighted to have him in the Ambassador role.
"We couldn't have wished for anyone better to represent all of the values Fight for Life is about.''
